The ICIB allocates a total of €420,000 through a grant program designed to promote both the use of new technologies and the sector’s digital transition
The aid covers expenses for technical equipment, software licenses and, new this year, training activities related to the purpose of the call
Under the premise of transforming the productive system of the regional cultural sector, the Institute of Cultural Industries of the Balearic Islands (ICIB) presented this Thursday the final resolution for the third of its four regular funding programs. This resolution allocates up to €420,000 to promote modernization, innovation, and technological development within the industry. The grant not only strengthens the ongoing process of digitalization but also encourages the implementation of new technologies in cultural creation.
As part of this resolution, the ICIB has provided support to 46 investment projects, covering expenses such as the purchase of technical equipment, the design of websites and digital environments, and the acquisition of software licenses. This year, for the first time, the program also includes coverage for training courses directly related to the objectives of the call.
According to Diana de la Cuadra, Managing Director of the ICIB, this funding call pursues two key goals. On one hand, it aims to “expand the productive capacity of Balearic culture by facilitating access to essential resources for the development of the industry.” On the other, it seeks to “strengthen the technological transformation of the sector in order to ensure the region’s competitiveness in today’s artistic landscape,” de la Cuadra stated.
It is also worth noting that the grant establishes a maximum amount of €25,000 per beneficiary, and this sum may not exceed 50% of the total budget (excluding VAT) recognized by the ICIB. Furthermore, the reporting and justification period opens this Friday, one day after the publication of the resolution, and will remain active until January 20, 2026 (inclusive).
