Reaffirming its commitment to the various artistic proposals within this discipline, the ICIB aims to support and accompany the wide range of artists that make up the performing arts in the Balearic Islands. Its overall goal is to provide a firm response to the different professional needs of a creative sector in constant evolution.
By doing this, the ICIB promotes both the productive muscle of this industry and the capacity to disseminate the various performing arts projects in the region. This function is mainly channelled through two different lines of grants.
Firstly, the organisation offers grants to support cultural projects, promoting the production and revival of performing arts in all their forms. In this case, it also covers the promotion, exploitation and distribution of these projects, as well as subsidising the programming of shows.
Secondly, the ICIB grant for the modernisation, innovation and technological development of cultural industries also falls within this framework. For example, this aid subsidises the acquisition of technical equipment, the purchase of air conditioning systems for cultural exhibition spaces and investment in stage machinery, stage curtains and mobile marquees.
