To support the Balearic publishing industry, the ICIB offers technical support to the various productive agents in this sector and, with the aim of consolidating the creative fabric of this discipline, works to actively encourage activities related to the publishing sector. In addition, this support also includes the impact of companies in the region dedicated to the creation of board games. These are two industries that are essential for preserving, promoting and enriching the archipelago's many cultural values.
Along the same lines, the Balearic Islands Institute of Cultural Industries offers the sector two different lines of grants available for both disciplines. On the one hand, it calls for applications for grants to support cultural projects, which promote both the publication of books and audiobooks and the production of Balearic board games, as part of a proposal that also subsidises the promotion, exploitation and distribution of these same projects.
On the other hand, aid for modernisation, innovation and technological development in cultural industries is also available to these industries. This line of funding can be used, for example, to finance investments in printers or photocopiers, the acquisition of information and communication technologies or the purchase of software licences.
