With the consolidation of the cultural ecosystem as its objective, the ICIB focuses on the constant professionalisation of the visual arts in the Balearic Islands. As well as promoting the various activities included in this discipline, it also makes its technical support available to those working in the sector.
Thus, the various players in this industry can apply for two of the grants managed by the agency. On the one hand, the ICIB offers aid to support cultural projects, through which it promotes both the execution of exhibition projects and the promotion, exploitation or distribution of these same proposals.
On the other hand, visual arts professionals can also benefit from the agency's support for modernisation, innovation and technological development in cultural industries. This line of aid can be used to subsidise, among other things, the acquisition of technical equipment, the design of websites and web environments, and the purchase of generators for cultural exhibition spaces. Overall, the aim is to promote a strategic discipline for the cultural development of the Balearic Islands
