The Government will boost the external impact of up to 23 Balearic audiovisual projects

The ICIB presents the final decision on a grant aimed at enhancing the international projection of this sector

The aid, with a total budget of €150,000, supports both completed works and projects seeking funding

The Institute of Cultural Industries of the Balearic Islands (ICIB) published this Thursday the final decision on its support for the external projection of audiovisual projects. This grant call, with a total allocation of €150,000, is made available to the sector with a dual objective: on the one hand, to multiply the national and international impact of regional works; and on the other, to strengthen the productive capacity of this discipline by fostering funding opportunities at professional events.

Within the framework of the current call, a total of 12 applications have been finally approved. In this case, responding to the industrial activity of up to 23 different audiovisual projects. A fact that “shows how the ICIB actively contributes to multiplying the potential of Balearic audiovisual content beyond the borders of our archipelago,” said the managing director of the institute, Diana de la Cuadra.

It is also relevant to mention that this call covers both completed works and projects in pre-production. Therefore, just as expenses related to promotional activities, festival attendance, or commercial release outside the island of origin are eligible for funding, so too are costs related to participation in professional markets, co-production forums, or residency programs. It should also be noted that the justification period for this aid opens this Friday and will remain open until January 31, 2026 (inclusive).
