Grants to support the international promotion of audiovisual projects for the year 2025
JUSTIFICATION PERIOD
FOR COMPANIES AND FREELANCERS

This is a line of aid dedicated to the internationalisation of the Balearic audiovisual sector. In the case of completed works, the grant covers aspects such as attendance at festivals where the film has been selected. For films in pre-production, funding is available, for example, for participation in markets, co-production forums or residency programmes.

What is it?

With the aim of promoting the internationalisation of the Balearic audiovisual industry, the ICIB is allocating a total of €150,000 to this line of grants. This initiative not only boosts the international impact of this discipline, but also strengthens the sector's capacity to develop solid, viable and high-quality projects.

On the one hand, this aid is aimed at works that have already been completed. In this sense, both participation in professional events outside their island of origin and attendance at festivals or ceremonies where the project has been selected are eligible for funding. Expenses related to various promotional activities or the international premiere of the project, for example, are also covered by this aid.

On the other hand, works that are still in the pre-production phase are also eligible for this grant. In this case, the grant encourages the search for funding or co-production, as well as promoting the sale of Balearic audiovisual products abroad. Therefore, as well as covering their presence at international markets, co-production forums or residency programmes, the development of an advertising strategy designed for these same purposes is also eligible for funding.

Who is it for?

Both individuals registered as self-employed and legal entities in the audiovisual sector are eligible for this aid. The other requirements can be found in Section 4 of the call for applications, and the requirements and conditions for projects can also be consulted in Section 5 of the same document.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find the ICIB logos?

There are three different options to download the ICIB logos. First, they can be found in the “Corporate Identity” section, located under “About Us” on this same website. Secondly, they can be downloaded from the corporate identity page of the Government of the Balearic Islands. And finally, they can also be downloaded directly via this link.

I’m having trouble viewing a document on the Electronic Office. What can I do?

If you encounter difficulties viewing any of the documents available on the Electronic Office, it is recommended to open the file by dragging it directly into an open tab of your web browser (such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.). This action usually resolves most issues related to compatibility or document display. Furthermore, if the document shows problems with the display of certain characters, it is advisable to install the Noto Sans font on your device.

I am having trouble uploading documentation to the Electronic Office. How can I do it?

First of all, please note that documents must be attached in the third step of the online procedure. Therefore, the previous fields must be properly completed beforehand. In the "Attach" section, you should also ensure that the documents are submitted in the specified formats and always within the maximum accepted file size.

What should I do if the online procedure does not allow me to attach more documents?

To avoid duplications in the submission of applications, it is recommended to send the documentation through a generic application addressed to the ICIB (DIR3A04035972), indicating the file number to which the documents should be added.

How can I stay informed about new grant calls?

To stay updated on the institution’s activity, you can subscribe to the organisation’s mailing list using the form “I want to stay updated on ICIB news”, available in the “Contact” section. By selecting the disciplines that interest you, you will be included in the communication list of those sectors. In addition, the information will also be published on the organisation’s social media channels as well as on this website.
